Street-wize General Policies

The Quality Standards Policy 

At Street-wize, we promise solid craftsmanship and good materials for every project, big or small. We follow industry standards and pay close attention to detail in everything we do. We understand that small-scale operations demand flexibility and adaptability. This allows us to respond quickly to client requests, incorporate changes efficiently, and maintain high standards for both materials and workmanship. Our reputation is built on reliability, craftsmanship, and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations, no matter the size of the job.


Street-wize Parts, Materials, and Labor Warranty Policy

Street-wize sources all parts and materials from suppliers we trust, ensuring quality and reliability for every project. If you supply your own parts, we don’t guarantee them in any way. All labor performed by Street-wize is covered by a 90-day warranty, effective from the project’s completion date, unless otherwise specified in writing. 

  • Let us know in writing about any warranty issues within the 90 days.
  • If any Street-wize provided and installed parts include valid manufacturer warranties, those warranties are transferred directly to you, the client. Any issues arising under a manufacturer’s warranty must be resolved between you (the client) and the supplier. 
  • During the 90-day labor warranty period, Street-wize will provide technical assistance to the client and/or supplier with warranty claims as needed.
  • After the initial 90-day warranty period ends, Street-wize may, at our discretion, offer continued support for an additional 90 days. This support may be subject to fees up to our hourly shop rate as determined by Street-wize.
  • This warranty doesn’t cover problems from misuse, neglect, accidents, poor upkeep, unauthorized changes, or normal wear and tear.
  • Street-wize's responsibility is limited to fixing or replacing faulty work we did, and we decide how that’s managed.

If you have special requests for warranty, let’s talk and put it in writing before we start your project.


Return and Refund Policy

All returns and refunds require approval from Street-wize and must satisfy the following minimum requirements:

  • Time Frame: Requests for refunds must be submitted to Street-wize promptly and no later than two weeks after interim or final payments.
  • Condition of Items: Returned items must be in their original purchase condition, including original packaging (where applicable), when permitted by the supplier, and accompanied by all original, undamaged documentation and instructions.
  • Refund Process: Refunds may be processed to the original payment method or as otherwise approved by Street-wize on an individual basis.
  • Return Shipping Costs: Customers are responsible for all return shipping expenses, including packaging, supplier restocking fees, and any associated shop time.
  • Non-returnable Items: Certain items may not be eligible for return and/or refund due to expiration of the supplier's return and/or refund period, other supplier policies, or the value of the item relative to return shipping and preparation fees.

In cases where a return or refund is not possible, Street-wize will work with the client for a mutually agreed to resolution when doing so is in the best interest of Street-wize.


Change Order Policy

Clients may request changes to the scope of work at any time during their project.

  • All change requests must be submitted in writing to Street-wize. Once a change request is received, Street-wize will review the proposed modifications, assess any impact on project cost, timeline, and resources, and provide a written change order outlining the revised terms.
  • Work on the changes will only begin after both parties have signed the change order and any additional costs have been agreed upon and paid, if applicable.
  • Changes may result in adjustments to the project schedule or price.
  • Street-wize reserves the right to decline change orders that are not feasible or would significantly disrupt the project or other scheduled projects.


Cancellation Policy

Clients may cancel their project at any time by providing written notice to Street-wize. Upon cancellation, Street-wize will immediately cease all work. The client will be responsible for payment of all labor, parts, and materials used up to the date of cancellation. Any unused labor or parts will be refunded to the client, minus any applicable storage fees for unusable shop space, as determined by Street-wize. 

  

Project Termination Policy

Street-wize may end work on any project at any time and does not have to give a reason or documentation. Terminated projects are not covered by any warranty from Street-wize. Customers will be refunded for any unused labor or parts, but storage fees for unusable shop space may be deducted as determined by Street-wize.


Licensing Policy

Street-wize is committed to operating in full compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations governing automotive services. Street-wize maintains current business and related licenses for the operation of a hotrod shop in our area. Copies of relevant licenses are available for client review upon request.


Liability and Indemnification Policy

The Client understands and agrees that Street-wize, as the service provider, will take all reasonable steps to protect the Client’s vehicle and property during the course of work. However, Street-wize is not responsible for any loss or damage to the vehicle or its contents due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to theft, fire, natural disasters, or acts of vandalism occurring on or off the premises. Street-wize recommends that Clients maintain independent insurance coverage for their vehicles. 


Payment Policy

The total amount of the payment for the custom automotive work shall be paid in full or when agreed to by Street-wize and Client in installments as follows:


  • Iterative payments to cover parts and labor are required within 7 calendar days of a Street-wize invoice date for all work orders unless otherwise recorded in the agreed-upon terms section of this agreement.
  • Payment in full is due upon release of my vehicle to include any change orders, and research fees.
  • Payments can be made in cash, debit/credit card, or online.
  • An additional 3% fee will be applied to payments to cover fees for processing transactions through debit or credit.


Late Payment Policy

In case of late payment, Street-wize reserves the right to add a late fee of 3% per month charged on the unpaid balance.


Recovery of fees Owed Policy

The client hereby acknowledges that an Express Mechanics Lien is placed on their vehicle to secure payment for the services outlined in the Preliminary Work Assessment/Estimate, including change orders and storage fees. This lien also covers any additional costs such as parts, labor, or administrative fees incurred by Street-wize, as well as attorney or collection fees related to recovering unpaid balances.


Dispute Resolution Policy

Street-wize, as a very small hotrod and custom shop, focuses on providing personalized service tailored to each client’s unique project needs. Our team ensures that every vehicle receives close attention and care throughout the customization or repair process. By maintaining a limited number of simultaneous projects, we can guarantee a hands-on approach and direct communication with clients, fostering trust and transparency from initial consultation through project completion. 

  • Open and prompt communication ensures we can work together effectively to achieve the best possible outcome for your project.
  • To help us maintain the highest standards of service and address any concerns promptly, it is the client’s responsibility to communicate any problems, dissatisfaction, or issues with the work or service as soon as they arise.
  • Clients should notify Street-wize in writing of any matters they are not satisfied with or any defects they observe, allowing us the opportunity to address and resolve these issues in a timely manner.
  • Any dispute arising from this contract shall be resolved through mediation in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
